One of the most best books I’ve ever read. The relationship (if you can even call it that) between Dolores and Humbert is so incredibly wrong that it’s intriguing, not in a positive way, but in a way that sparkles curiosity and makes you want to read more and more.
Humbert has such a sick, twisted mindset. It’s fascinating as much as it is disgusting. Something only few are familiar with, that’s what makes it so interesting I suppose. Because you can never imagining feeling that way.
Vladimir Nabokov is a literary genius, and I think he’s the only one in the world who could succeed in pulling off writing a book with such a strong, shocking plot.
